About Julie Beutel
Julie Beutel is the mother of two (now grown) sons. She taught music to children in southwest Detroit for several years. She lived and worked as a member of Witness for Peace in Nicaragua in the mid-80s. She and Bob met and started making music together in 1981. Their long term friendship and common passion for - and delight in - making music is one of her greatest joys. (Her paternal grandmother's last name was O'Brien, so they're probably distant cousins!)
About Bob O'Brien
Bob O'Brien lives in Detroit with his wife Alice. For several decades, Bob worked as a social worker, supporting Detroit families through community mental health, affordable housing, and economic development. Playing music with friends like Julie has been a source of joy and provided avenues for supporting organizations working for the common good.
About Charlie King
Charlie King is a musical storyteller and political satirist. He sings and writes passionately about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people. Pete Seeger hailed him as “One of the finest singers and songwriters of our time.”
The mission of the Alliance To Halt Fermi-3 is the ultimate transformation of our current national electrical grid from large, for-profit nuclear, coal, and natural gas plants to publicly-owned, decentralized solar and wind projects integrated with efficiency improvements in order to achieve zero net greenhouse gas emissions and good paying green energy jobs.
