Free admission and family-friendly. This show offers a history of the Civil Rights Movement for African Americans from 1955 to 1967, highlighting activists such as Rosa Parks, Fannie Lou Hamer and Ella Baker. Charlie King is a musical storyteller and political satirist. He sings and writes passionately about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people. Pete Seeger hailed him as “One of the finest singers and songwriters of our time.” Charlie has been at the heart of American folk music for over half a century and has been writing songs for over 40 years. Since 2015 Charlie has been touring and performing with his partner, Candace Cassin.
